Where to Turn on the Hanley Spur?

Both railways had downtown stations in Kingston. Photos of the CN Suburban service between Hanley Station and the Outer Station are hard to come by. The service ended in 1930. CP's passenger trains over the Kingston & Pembroke line ended in 1957. On both railways, there was no turning facility at the stations, since real estate was at a premium. 

So how did passenger trains get their steam locomotives ready for the return runs? In CN's case, there may have been a run-around move at the Hanley Station. But nowhere to turn on the Hanley Spur. CP had a longer run out north of the city, and needed to turn the locomotive and perhaps the combine. The coach's seats were likely walk-over, able to be flipped over for the return run. Photos show CP steam locomotives dead-heading to the roundhouse and turntable at its North Street yard (top photo). CN had a turntable at its Outer Station (arrow-below):
