As a railway buff and a map buff with a Kingston connection, I find these images triply fascinating. How impressive the elegant map design is, especially considering that they were prepared manually.
Sanborn insurance maps are often referred to. These 1924 maps resemble Sanborn, or maybe they are Sanborn maps. I believe the original posting was on a federal government website, but darned if I can find it now. They are definitely works of art in and of themselves.
